Nowadays, a lot of people want to become professional traders. Let me share some thoughts with you here. This post is just the beginning. I’m not going to talk about technical analysis or trading knowledge because those are things you need to figure out on your own—everyone has their own methods. My personal trading logic might not suit you, and of course, if you think I’m wrong, feel free to share your thoughts. First and foremost, if you want to become a trader, you need to ensure that even if you don’t make any gains after trading for five years, you won’t starve and your daily life will go on as usual. This is the bare minimum. Also, being a trader isn’t as comfortable as you might imagine—you’ll be facing the brutal competition of the financial markets and the complexities of human nature. Greed, anger, ignorance, and arrogance—these are things we’re born with. Don’t think you can completely avoid them because they’re part of human nature. What we need to do is learn how to control ourselves and avoid these pitfalls. Some people struggle with trading, and the biggest issue often lies in greed. You must develop a sensitivity to the market and logical thinking. Your mindset determines your actions, and your actions determine your results. Trading, at its core, is about buying low and selling high. Sounds simple, right? But it’s far from easy in practice. Also, you must pay attention to the real purchasing power of your funds. Don’t treat it as just numbers and ignore it—numbers can disappear completely one day. What you really need to do is ensure the money you earn can cover your daily expenses, and then gradually grow from there. Trying to make a fortune in the financial market overnight is impossible. While there are exceptions, they almost always end up losing it all. Because when someone earns a year’s salary in a single day, do you think they’ll stay grounded?
