According to CoinDesk, Kjartan Rist, founding partner of early BVNK investor Concentric, revealed that during Mastercard's $1.8 billion acquisition bid for stablecoin infrastructure company BVNK, Coinbase once held the upper hand and may have proposed a bid as high as $2.5 billion. However, BVNK's founding team placed significant emphasis on corporate culture and alignment when selecting an acquirer, ultimately failing to reach an agreement with Coinbase. Rist also mentioned that Visa had been involved in potential acquisition discussions and held certain advantages as an existing investor in BVNK, but ultimately decided not to proceed with the acquisition, opting instead to adopt a strategy of collaborating with multiple stablecoin operators. https://(wublock123.com)/news/coinbase-planned-2-5b-acquisition-of-bvnk-culture-mismatch-66246
