Wu Blockchain reports that in its August 7 market update, QCP noted that BTC rebounded earlier this week from around $62,500 to near $64,000. During this period, Strategy sold 1,638 BTC last week, totaling approximately $104.7 million. As of August 4, the Coldcard security incident resulted in an estimated loss of about 1,755 BTC, valued at roughly $110 million, affecting around 5,000 wallets, but it did not lead to a sustained BTC breakdown.
QCP data shows that the 7-day and 30-day at-the-money implied volatility stood at approximately 28.8 and 32.6, respectively, marking recent lows. The 7-day 25 Delta risk reversal recovered from -7.39 to -2.10, indicating a softening in short-term downside protection demand.
QCP believes that BTC currently reflects resilience against bearish factors rather than a clear trend reversal. Moving forward, attention should remain on U.S. employment data, energy prices, U.S. Treasury yields, Japanese liquidity, and progress in U.S. crypto market structure legislation.
