[Bitcoin Hashrate Drops 19% Over Nine Months, Setting Record for Longest Decline in History]
According to BeInCrypto, since November 2025, Bitcoin's 30-day average hashrate has dropped by 19%, declining from 1,108 EH/s to 898 EH/s. Glassnode data shows that this nine-month decline is the longest in the network's history. This drop coincides with the largest capital migration ever seen among mining companies, with mining firms holding over $70 billion in AI contracts. Part of the electricity capacity originally used for Bitcoin mining has been redirected to AI hosting, which may be difficult to revert.
