[Figma CEO Gives Up $46 Million Stock Award to Boost Investor Confidence]
According to Bloomberg, Dylan Field, CEO of software development company Figma, has voluntarily given up approximately $46 million worth of company stock awards in an effort to restore investor confidence amid concerns over AI disruption. Field was originally set to receive around 2.4 million Class B shares on July 1 but declined the award without receiving any alternative compensation. Figma's stock price has dropped about 77% from its post-IPO high of $122, closing at $28.15 on Wednesday. While Figma's second-quarter revenue and profit exceeded analysts' expectations, its stock still fell about 15% in after-hours trading. Field still holds over 76 million Class B shares, valued at more than $2.1 billion based on Wednesday's closing price.
