[LG Electronics Advances AIoT Chip Localization, Establishes Three-Tier Product Line] According to DeepTech TechFlow on August 6, LG Electronics is collaborating with South Korean chip design companies to advance the localization of AIoT chips. They are building a multi-layer chip platform open to domestic fabless companies to reduce development costs. The chip product line is divided into three tiers: high-end models with over 30 TOPS computing power, supporting generative AI, emotional intent inference, and 3D gesture recognition; mid-range models with 10 TOPS, targeting real-time environment-aware home appliances; and entry-level models with 1.5 TOPS, supporting wake word recognition and energy consumption optimization. These chips, combined with LG's proprietary AI models and software, form a comprehensive smart home appliance solution stack.
