[Goodfire Lets Agents Run AI Experiments for Researchers, $1,000 Monthly Fee] According to monitoring by Beating, AI interpretability company Goodfire has launched its research tool Silico. After researchers input their objectives, Silico formulates plans, runs multiple experiments simultaneously, tracks progress, and organizes results. Silico can train and optimize models, reproduce research papers, and identify issues in data and model design. Researchers still need to review plans, adjust directions, and evaluate final results. Goodfire used Silico to analyze the Kimi K3 model, which has a total of 2.8 trillion parameters. It identified features within the model that control writing style and adjusted these features to make Kimi K3 respond in a "pirate tone." Silico is currently available via a macOS client. The personal version costs $1,000 per month, with additional fees for using Goodfire's GPUs. Users can also connect their own servers. [Original Link]
