According to Yahoo Finance, the Taiwan, China Monetary Authority announced that from October 2026, virtual asset service providers (VASPs) must implement transfer rules when transferring virtual assets. When the single transfer amount exceeds 30000 New Taiwan Dollars, the transferring party must provide the customer's date of birth and residence for the receiving party to verify their identity. This measure will be promoted in stages. From October this year, priority will be given to the transfer between VASPs in Taiwan, China, China, and the transfer with VASPs in other addresses is expected to be implemented by the end of 2027. If the operator fails to incorporate the process into the internal control system or fails to implement data transmission, a fine of no less than NT $500000 and no more than NT $10 million may be imposed under the Money Laundering Prevention Act.
