According to Axios, the United States, Iran, and Oman are close to reaching a temporary passage agreement in the Strait of Hormuz, with the US target announcing the relevant arrangements as early as Wednesday. The agreement is valid for 60 days and stipulates that ships entering the Persian Gulf will pass through the northern channel of Iranian waters, and ships leaving will pass through the southern channel of Omani waters. During this period, no tolls will be charged, and all parties will clear the mines in the central channel of the strait within 30 days. US envoy Steve Witkoff, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Omani Foreign Minister Badr al Busaidi have had multiple rounds of communication recently, and Iran completed the approval process on Tuesday.
