The U.S. stock market just closed, but crypto is still open for business. Same piece of good news, two markets, completely different reactions. Last night, oil prices dropped 6%, the 10-year yield fell back to 4.67%, and the Nasdaq 100 closed up +0.52%—classic risk-on behavior. But in the past 24 hours, BTC has barely moved, still hovering around 63,400, spending the whole day bouncing between 62,241–64,008. ETH is at 1,856, down 1.40%. The U.S. stock market only votes once a day, closing at night and deferring uncertainty to the next day’s open. Crypto doesn’t have the luxury of a "closing bell"—sentiment gets priced in immediately, often overnight. That’s why most of the time, the sequence goes: crypto reacts first, and the stock market catches up the next day. This time, it’s the other way around—the good news is right there, but crypto isn’t moving. That usually means it’s preoccupied with something else, like how MSTR sold 1,638 BTC yesterday. Same macro backdrop, two time zones pricing it in. Do you trust the one that speaks first, or the one that responds a day later?
