Mike Belshe: Deposit 100 BTC to Challenge Anthropic Model Security

On August 1st, BitGo CEO Mike Belshe deposited 100 BTC worth approximately $6.3 million into a public Bitcoin address and invited Anthropic's Claude model to try transferring the funds. On chain records show that the balance of the wallet has not been transferred out as of August 2nd. Anthropic has revealed three incidents in 141006 network security assessments, involving Claude Opus 4.7, Claude Mythos 5, and an unpublished internal research model, due to irregular configuration errors by a third-party testing partner. The BitGo institutional hosting platform uses multi signature or multi-party computation technology to distribute signature permissions to multiple independent keys. Anthropic has not publicly responded to the challenge as of August 2nd.
