[SoftBank Plans to Issue 90 Billion Yen in Bonds to Support AI Investment]
BlockBeats News, July 29 – SoftBank Group announced on Wednesday that it will issue 90 billion yen (approximately $550 million) in bonds to institutional investors to expand its domestic and international financing channels, aimed at supporting its substantial investments in the field of artificial intelligence. According to lead underwriter Daiwa Securities, the issuance includes 80 billion yen in three-year bonds and 10 billion yen in five-year bonds. The coupon rate for the three-year bonds is 3.270%, 165 basis points higher than Japanese government bonds, while the coupon rate for the five-year bonds is 3.886%, 190 basis points higher than Japanese government bonds, marking the highest rate paid by any Japanese domestic corporate borrower for bonds of similar maturities.
