[Binance Conducts Monthly Simulated Phishing Attack Tests on Employees, Repeat Failures May Lead to Termination]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Binance Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su stated that Binance regularly conducts security habit tests on employees. The internal red team initiates simulated phishing attacks monthly to assess whether security habits have improved. Employees who fail the tests will undergo remedial training. Jimmy Su mentioned that Binance has been conducting such simulated attacks for three to four years. While employees' security habits were lacking in the early stages, the company's overall performance has significantly improved.
The test results are factored into employee performance evaluations, and repeat failures in phishing simulations will negatively impact their scores. He noted that severe and repeated failures could result in the employee's score dropping to the lowest level and may lead to termination. Simulated scenarios include the red team posing as recruiters or offering free conference invitations to collect personal information and test employee responses.
