According to Report.az, the government of Kazakhstan has approved the "Implementation Rules for Strategic Digital Mining", which allows companies to obtain a 10-year electricity quota on the condition that a portion of their mining output is transferred to Astana Hub and managed in trust by a national investment company under the National Bank to supplement the country's strategic cryptocurrency reserves. The operator must submit an application through the E-licensing database, and after approval, sign an agreement with Astana Hub and an electricity purchase and sale contract with the energy production organization within five working days.
