House unanimously passed legislation to reauthorize federal funding for five years for lyme and other tick-borne disease research. The Kay Hagan Tick Act, named after former Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC), who passed away in 2019 due to complications from the Powassan tick-borne virus, was approved by voice vote and now heads to the Senate.(Craig Caplan)
