[Spot Gold Drops 0.2%, Continues Trading Near the $4000 Level, New York Copper Rises Over 1.2%]
On Monday (July 20) during New York's late trading session, spot gold fell 0.22%, quoted at $4008.35 per ounce. It opened lower in the Asia-Pacific session near the psychological $4000 level, then fluctuated upward, reaching a daily high of $4040.52 at 19:34 Beijing time, before quickly retreating and subsequently trading near $4010. COMEX gold futures fell 0.15%, quoted at $4012.80 per ounce. Spot silver rose 0.90%, quoted at $56.4211 per ounce, showing a significant increase during the Asia-Pacific session and remaining stable near the $57 level for most of the day. COMEX silver futures rose 0.66%, quoted at $56.700 per ounce. COMEX copper futures rose 1.25%, quoted at $6.3430 per pound, continuing to rise since the Asia-Pacific session. Spot platinum rose 0.10%, and spot palladium rose 0.88%.
