[Former New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo Joins OKX Board of Directors]
Foresight News reports that OKX has announced former New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has officially joined the company's board of directors. Cuomo previously served as the 56th Governor of New York, New York State Attorney General, and Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Since 2023, he has been serving as OKX's regulatory and institutional strategy advisor for the U.S. market. His appointment to the board formally solidifies this partnership.
In June of this year, OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) announced the establishment of a joint venture, with Cuomo serving as co-chairman. Earlier, ICE made a strategic investment in OKX in March, valuing OKX at $25 billion at the time. OKX founder and CEO Star stated that Cuomo has a deep understanding of the workings of government, institutions, and markets, and his involvement will help OKX further expand its presence in the U.S. market.
