[Argentine Judge Orders Freeze on Wallets Linked to Libra, Involving $8.2 Million] Odaily Planet Daily News: Argentine federal judge Marcelo Martinez has ordered the identification and freezing of a group of wallets linked to Libra. This follows an investigation by the Federal Police's Cybercrime Technology Department, which has been tracking the flow of related funds across multiple crypto networks since May. The investigation involves eight wallets labeled as 'Libra team,' which are directly connected to token issuance. Reports indicate that four of these wallets previously aggregated nearly $57 million into one address, which had been frozen and later unfrozen by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. On May 10, approximately $500,000 of the related funds were transferred to a Tron address via an interoperability protocol. Out of 17 transactions, at least 10 passed through Binance, while eight wallets were linked to Bybit, two to OKX, and two to Bitfinex. Some users involved in the $8.2 million in funds may be identifiable through centralized exchanges' KYC rules. The remaining funds are currently managed by Libra Trust, which plans to distribute them in the form of grants to Argentine companies by November. A total of 71 applications are pending approval.
