[Bybit Launches Local Platform in Indonesia After Acquiring NOBI, First Batch Includes 500 Trading Pairs] Odaily Planet Daily News: Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has announced the launch of a locally operated platform in Indonesia after acquiring a majority stake in digital asset company PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal. PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal, formerly known as NOBI, has been renamed Bybit Indonesia following the completion of the transaction. Bybit stated that services will be rolled out in phases, with the first batch including 500 cryptocurrency trading pairs. Bybit Indonesia will be led by CEO Lawrence Samantha and COO Dionisius Evan, both of whom were previously executives at NOBI. According to data from the Indonesian Financial Services Authority, as of February 2026, there are 21.07 million registered cryptocurrency users in Indonesia, with total cryptocurrency trading volume projected to reach $26.85 billion by 2025. As of April, Indonesia has licensed 31 crypto-related entities, including PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal.
