The US government has no choice in the matter. They will default on the national debt and the unfunded liabilities. $40 trillion + $120 trillion = $160 trillion With a $32 trillion economy that is 5x of our GDP. The math doesn't work. They can't pay for it, so they will have no other choice except for the Fed to monetize the debt over the next few decades. Money printer go Brrrr for tens of trillions of $$$.
