Cursor develops universal AI agent Sand, SpaceX plans to acquire Cursor for $60 billion

According to PYMNTS, AI coding tool company Cursor is developing a universal AI agent codenamed Sand, which includes functions such as replying to emails and text messages, organizing forms, and handling engineering work. It is positioned as an office assistant for non developers. SpaceX plans to acquire Cursor in a $60 billion all stock transaction, with delivery expected to be completed in the third quarter. Cursor has not yet decided whether to launch the agent, and its product roadmap is affected by the merger process.
