[The Bank of Korea Predicts AI-Driven Chip 'Supercycle' Will Persist, Dismissing Peak Concerns]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on July 13, the Bank of Korea released a report on Monday stating that the global semiconductor market remains in a state of supply shortage and that the current 'supercycle' driven by artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to continue for some time. The bank thereby dismissed investors' concerns that the chip cycle has peaked. The Bank of Korea noted in the report: 'Although semiconductor demand has surged significantly due to investments in AI infrastructure, the pace of supply expansion remains relatively slow.' The bank added that there are no signs of a slowdown in the semiconductor cycle yet. (Jin10)
