AI 2040 believes that unless strong measures are taken to completely prevent it, there will be some form of super intelligence in various scenarios by 2040; Critics argue that AI 2040 underestimates human coordination capabilities and threatens freedom, but does not view ASI itself as a risk of power concentration. Vitalik said that if he is convinced that the current form of AI is just an ordinary technology, he will be closer to the critics' camp; If it is believed that super intelligence will arrive by default in 2030, it will be closer to the AI 2040 camp. Vitalik stated that there is no solution to avoid trade-offs when it comes to whether to slow down or pause. Trigger conditions can be pre-set, and a more open attitude towards slowing down or pausing can be maintained when sufficient conditions are triggered within a specific time frame. He also stated that if he were Elon Musk or Zuck, he would greatly transform Twitter into a platform to help identify and facilitate such large-scale win-win agreements, allowing more people to participate in discussions, but he believes this may also be naive.
