Just had a chat with a friend, and we were saying that over the past few days, even so-called fundamentally strong, real-money-making U.S. stocks have shown huge price swings—not much different from altcoins. Take Intel $INTC for example: it went from 93 to 145 in half a month, then dropped back to 110 in another half month. A 30+ point swing, like it’s just a game. How much of this market cap do you think actually reflects fundamentals? Did the same company suddenly become 30% more amazing in half a month, and then turn into trash another half month later? And we’re talking about a company with a $554B market cap Honestly, it’s all just market sentiment, like playing with memes. If you’re too caught up in the market and insist on holding for value investing, you might really end up stuck like an idiot. The only difference is that good U.S. stocks might eventually climb back up and let you break even, while with altcoins, it’s a one-way ticket. Once and done.
