Dynamic resharding went live on testnet last week in the 2.13 upgrade, enabling NEAR Protocol to automatically scale itself.  Testnet shards are now splitting automatically once they hit a state size threshold, no human intervention or coordinated upgrade required. (NEAR Protocol)
