After reading, I feel like Canopy isn’t just hyping the L1 concept but is actually reconstructing the cost curve for bringing applications on-chain. Lower development barriers + progressively acquired security—this combo is pretty solid. Don’t forget to try out the testnet. A lot of people see AI + L1 and think it’s just a buzzword play, but after looking into the Canopy network, I feel like they’ve tapped into something more fundamental. Once AI reduces development costs, applications will need their own sovereign chains instead of always relying on someone else’s public chain. @CNPYNetwork’s nested chain design allows projects to initially inherit the mainnet’s security and launch their own dedicated chain at a low cost. As the business matures, they can gradually become independent, setting their own fees, rules, and governance while still maintaining cross-chain interoperability. The testnet achieves tens of thousands of TPS, has short finality times, and offers a great developer experience. AI-native templates further lower the barrier to creating chains, and with over a million users already, it’s clear the market has long been fed up with gas fees and congestion issues. Assets like RWA need a stable and controllable environment. Dedicated chains can avoid competing for resources with meme coins, ensuring the infrastructure matches the needs of the assets. Large-scale Web3 adoption depends on this kind of foundational optimization, and Canopy seems to be taking a practical approach here. Looking forward to seeing the first real-world case of someone using plain language + AI templates to quickly launch on-chain.
