[Finland Officially Lifts Nuclear Ban, Russia Declares Finland a Nuclear Strike Target]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on July 3, citing CCTV International News, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, stated on social media on July 2 that Finland has become a target for Russian nuclear strikes after lifting the ban on deploying nuclear weapons on its territory.
On March 5 of this year, the Finnish government announced plans to amend existing laws to lift the comprehensive ban on the import, transportation, delivery, and possession of nuclear explosive devices within Finland. On June 17, the Finnish Parliament approved the government's proposed amendment to the Nuclear Energy Act, removing the ban on the transit of nuclear weapons and their storage in Finland for defense purposes. On June 26, Finnish President Stubb approved the amendment. The amendment officially came into effect on July 1.
