[Ukraine Incorporates Seized Crypto Assets into State Management for the First Time, Confiscates Over 8.3 Million USDT] According to Decrypt, Ukraine has, for the first time, incorporated seized crypto assets into state management. The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine stated in a Telegram announcement that over 8.3 million USDT has been transferred to a wallet controlled by the Asset Recovery and Management Agency. These USDT were confiscated from a suspected member of an international hacking organization that carried out cyberattacks on targets in Europe and the United States, stealing confidential data and demanding ransoms, with estimated damages exceeding $100 million. Four suspects, including the organizer, have been detained, and more than $11.1 million in assets have been seized, including real estate, vehicles, $1 million in cash, and crypto assets. Ukraine legalized virtual assets in 2022 and is advancing tax and regulatory legislation to align with EU standards.
