[Trump Avoids Discussing Whether the Government Will Take a Stake in OpenAI but Emphasizes Holdings in Intel]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on July 3, CNBC stated that U.S. President Trump, in an interview, avoided addressing the question of whether the government would acquire a 5% stake in OpenAI, following a report by the Financial Times on this potential deal. When faced with the question, Trump did not provide a direct answer but instead shifted the discussion to the government's stake in Intel, which was struggling at the time. In August of last year, the U.S. government announced an $8.9 billion investment in Intel's common stock, acquiring a 10% stake in the company. Trump stated: 'Intel came to me, they were facing problems, and I said: "I can solve your problems, but I want 10% of the company."'
