Opening an IBKR account to buy US stocks is super complicated and strict right now. If you’re looking to buy the dip in US stocks, a friend recommended a platform that still allows Chinese nationals to open accounts and deposit funds. If you deposit $5,000 now, you can get a $30 cash voucher reimbursed. There’s also a promo where if you accumulate $100,000, you can get a $400 reward reimbursed. The account opening process is pretty simple. Previously, in the China region, you could directly download the BBAE Securities app, but it seems like it’s been removed. However, outside of the China region, you can still download the BBAE app, and there are deposit rewards. It seems like BBAE PRO doesn’t offer deposit rewards though. As far as I know, this is also a US-based platform that doesn’t have CRS, and it’s legit since it’s regulated by the SEC and FINRA. The review process is also relatively easy. Of course, you can also buy US stocks on-chain or through CEX, but the fees and slippage are way higher, and they don’t offer products like options.
