[Hong Kong SFC: Total Assets Under Management in Hong Kong Up 20% Year-on-Year to a Record High of HK$42.2 Trillion] Odaily Planet Daily News – The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today released the "Asset and Wealth Management Activities Survey 2025," which highlights Hong Kong's outstanding performance as a leading global asset and wealth management hub in 2025. Total assets under management (AUM) rose 20% year-on-year to a historic high of HK$42.2 trillion (US$5.4 trillion). The record-breaking AUM surpassed the previous high of HK$35.5 trillion (US$4.6 trillion) in 2021, with part of the growth driven by net fund inflows, which surged 193% year-on-year to HK$2.1 trillion (US$265 billion), marking the third consecutive year of increase. Among major segments, AUM in asset management and fund advisory businesses rose 19% year-on-year to HK$31 trillion (US$4 trillion), while AUM in private banking and private wealth management businesses saw an even greater increase of 24% year-on-year to HK$12.9 trillion (US$1.7 trillion).
