[Gulf States Reportedly Seeking to Independently Reach Regional Security Agreement with Iran] According to a report by Golden Finance on July 2, citing the UK's *The Daily Telegraph* on June 30, Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar are actively engaging in direct diplomatic contact and negotiations with Iran during the U.S.-Iran talks. The report noted that as U.S. credibility continues to decline, Gulf states are adjusting their relationships with Iran. Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S., Iran and Oman have already held their first meeting to discuss the management of the Strait of Hormuz. Subsequently, Oman and Qatar, Iran and Saudi Arabia, as well as Qatar and Saudi Arabia, are also set to hold talks aimed at determining ways for regional coexistence after the end of hostilities. The discussions among the parties cover topics such as navigation management plans for the Strait of Hormuz and potential economic incentives that Gulf states might offer Iran in exchange for corresponding security concessions. These talks are taking place concurrently with, but independently of, the U.S.-Iran negotiations. (CCTV)
