The long-awaited transfer of US and Hong Kong stocks has finally been arranged by Gate
The US and Hong Kong stocks that were previously held by securities firms such as Futu and Tiger can now be directly transferred to Gate, without the need to sell and then buy again, nor to toss funds back and forth
Similarly, stocks in Gate can also be transferred out
Gate does not charge transfer fees, neither transfers nor transfers
Recently, some securities firms have been restricted from buying US stocks, and the biggest headache for many people who already hold positions is how to deal with the stocks they used to hold
I think if we sell and then transfer funds, taxes, price differences, and time costs should all be taken into account; If we could directly transfer the stocks, it would indeed save a lot of trouble
The transfer operation of Gate is relatively simple, with DTC for the US stock market and CCASS for the Hong Kong stock market. It is expected to arrive in 3-15 working days, and the application can be submitted in the Gate App
The path is Gate App → Stocks → More → Transfer in/Transfer out Stocks, select US or Hong Kong stocks, fill in broker information, stock code, and quantity
If it is a transfer in, it is also necessary to contact the original securities firm to initiate the transfer out at the same time
At present, Gate is carrying out a "Stock Placement Promotion" from July 1st to July 7th. Stocks with a market value exceeding 3000 USDT will be transferred, and Gate will assist with the transfer fee charged by the original brokerage firm
The highest subsidy for the US stock market is 15000 USDT, the highest subsidy for the Hong Kong stock market is 6000 USDT, and the highest direct increase for VIP is VIP9
After entering Gate, just like buying stocks directly at Gate, it is priced in USDT and dividends are automatically credited to the account. It supports 24/7 trading with a minimum investment of 0.01 shares
The event is only for one week, and those who have holdings in US and Hong Kong stocks can take a look. The subsidy intensity is indeed quite large
