Musk revealed that Grok 4.5 is built on the V9 foundational model with 1.5 trillion parameters and incorporates data from the popular AI programming tool Cursor during supplementary training. Early evaluation results indicate that the model's performance is approaching, or may even surpass, Anthropic's flagship model, Claude Opus. Currently, reinforcement learning (RL) continues to significantly optimize the model, and its accompanying "Grok Build" testing benchmarks are becoming increasingly refined. Additionally, Musk stated that SpaceX will release entirely new models trained from scratch every month for the remainder of this year.
