[Aave Founder: Expanding Target Market to All Asset Classes Through Securities Collateralized Lending]
Foresight News reports that Aave founder Stani Kulechov stated on the X platform that Aave is expanding its target market from crypto assets to all asset classes through securities collateralized lending and securities lending services. Aave executive Luigi D'Onorio DeMeo also posted that brokers like Robinhood and Charles Schwab typically retain 50% to 85% of stock lending fees, returning only a small portion to users. The global securities lending market is approximately $4.6 trillion in size, with annual revenues of about $35 billion, most of which are captured by brokers. He noted that tokenized stocks can leverage Aave V4 to return the full lending revenue directly to users, offering advantages such as real-time transparency, dynamic pricing, no rehypothecation, and no intermediary cuts.
