[Crédit Agricole: Month-End Dollar Buying Expected to Be Moderate] According to a report by Golden Finance, on June 26, Crédit Agricole stated that its month-end pricing model indicates that moderate dollar buying is expected in the market before the end-of-June fixing. The bank noted: 'Global equity markets performed relatively strongly in June. In the foreign exchange market, the dollar appreciated against major currencies across the board this month. Overall, after taking into account this month's stock market performance, market capitalization weights, and exchange rate movements, month-end portfolio rebalancing flows are expected to result in moderate dollar buying overall, with the strongest buy signal likely for the dollar against the Swedish krona.' However, the bank cautioned that this market trend will not only be influenced by month-end flows but also by quarter-end and half-year-end flows, which could also play a role. As a result, market price movements may become more volatile and experience higher fluctuations, as multiple flows intertwine and potentially complicate market signals. This situation may become particularly evident in the last one or two days of next week as the London fixing approaches. Therefore, investors should remain cautious if significant price swings occur during this period that appear to lack fundamental support.
