The navigation volume in the Strait of Hormuz has returned to nearly 60% of pre war levels
On June 25th, Golden Finance reported that S&P Global Energy released a report stating that a total of 78 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on the 24th, setting a record for the highest daily navigation since the outbreak of the Iran conflict. The daily average navigation volume of ships in the Strait of Hormuz has returned to about 57% of pre conflict levels this month. According to the report, as of the 24th, a total of 551 ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz this month, which is expected to become the month with the highest navigation volume since the outbreak of the war. The report points out that the recent departures from the Strait of Hormuz not only include ships that have been stranded for a long time due to conflicts, but also ships that have recently entered, reflecting signs of initial normalization of shipping activities. However, it remains to be seen whether the trend of the increase in cross-strait navigation volume can continue, and relevant agreements still need to be further consolidated and implemented.
