[Tether-Supported Payment App Oobit Integrates with Brazil's PIX Network, Enabling USDT Payment Settlement] The Tether-supported payment app Oobit has integrated Brazil's instant payment network PIX, developed by the Central Bank of Brazil. This integration allows users to deposit Brazilian Real (BRL), exchange and hold USDT within the Oobit app, and complete daily payments via the PIX network. Oobit stated that users can send USDT to any PIX Key or pay by scanning a QR code, with on-chain settlement handled in the background, while the front-end experience remains consistent with the existing PIX process in banking apps. Brazil's PIX network currently has nearly 170 million users. Previously, in 2024, Oobit completed a $25 million Series A funding round led by Tether and Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko.
