According to a report by New Straits Times, the Malaysian International Humanitarian Organization (MHO) gathered over 100 victims of investment scams on June 23, urging the police to expedite investigations into 18 companies and investment platforms allegedly linked to organized scams. The victims and MHO representatives have submitted 18 memorandums to the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), requesting the investigations be completed and prosecutions initiated as soon as possible.
The report states that the complaints involve various projects, including forex trading, cryptocurrency investments, overseas funds, gold, real estate, and stocks. Many victims claimed they were promised high returns, fixed profits, and capital protection, only to find themselves unable to retrieve their funds.
