Former Ethereum Foundation researchers establish independent nonprofit Ethlabs A group of former Ethereum Foundation researchers have come together to establish an independent nonprofit organization called Ethlabs. The five co-founders—Ansgar Dietrichs, Barnabé Monnot, Caspar Schwarz-Schilling, Josh Rudolf, and Julian Ma—have led several major Ethereum upgrades over the past decade. Ethlabs has already received support from Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin, as well as organizations like Bitmine, SharpLink, Anchorage, Octant, and SNZ. Their early focus areas include: faster settlement speeds, native asset issuance, cross-chain transaction infrastructure, mainnet scalability, and research related to ETH's monetary properties, all centered around the needs of large-scale institutional adoption.
