Alan Greenspan, who died today at 100, was confirmed as chair of the Federal Reserve five times, 91-2 (Democrats Bradley & Conrad voted No) in 1987, unanimous consent in 1992, 91-7 in 1996 (Democrats Conrad, Dorgan, Feingold, Harkin, Kerrey-NE, Reid & Wellstone No), 89-4 (Democrats Dorgan, Harkin, Reid & Wellstone No) in 2000 & lastly in 2004 for a second time by unanimous consent.
