Among the 52 central banks included in the statistics, the number of institutions that raised or lowered interest rates in May was 26, marking the first time in about two years that the number remained the same. Last week, the European Central Bank raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 2.25%, and this Tuesday, the Bank of Japan raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 1.0%.
