BlockBeats News, June 19, according to Reuters, India's diversified real estate and investment company RMZ plans to expand its data center capacity to 2 to 3 gigawatts over the next five years as part of its $35 billion investment plan, a senior executive of the company stated.
Bangalore-based RMZ currently has a capacity of 250 megawatts. Deepak Chhabria, President of RMZ's Infrastructure Division, said in an interview that the company is currently in the final stages of negotiations for three data center projects, which, once completed, will increase the total capacity to over 1 gigawatt. He also added that the company plans to acquire land by the end of this year, which could support approximately 2 gigawatts of data center capacity in the future.
