China Calls Out Israel: Stop Violating Ceasefire Agreements

Golden Finance reported that on June 19, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, spoke at the UN Security Council's emergency public meeting on the humanitarian situation in Gaza on June 18 local time, calling for a lasting and genuine ceasefire in Gaza. Fu Cong stated that recently, the Middle East situation has shown signs of easing and cooling down. China hopes this positive momentum can be maintained and create favorable conditions for resolving other regional hotspot issues, including Gaza.
Although a ceasefire agreement for Gaza was reached last October, Israel has continued to expand its military occupation, which China views with serious concern. Relying on force cannot achieve lasting security and will only create more obstacles to peace. China urges all relevant parties, especially Israel, to fully comply with the ceasefire agreement and stop any risky actions that violate the ceasefire. Countries with significant influence on the parties involved should take more proactive measures to achieve a lasting ceasefire. (Xinhua International)
