[US Media: US-Iran Agreement May Be Hindered by Beirut Airstrike, Some Criticisms of the Memorandum of Understanding Are Inaccurate]
According to Fox News, cited by Jin10, a diplomat involved in the negotiations revealed that today's airstrike in Beirut, Lebanon, has complicated the finalization of the (US-Iran) agreement. The diplomat also stated: 'This is a clear attempt by Israel to sabotage President Trump's agreement and drag the United States back into war.' A senior Israeli official refuted claims that Israel was responsible for the exchange of fire. The official said: 'Over the past three days, Hezbollah's attacks have consistently targeted Israeli civilians.'
Zuhourian, a member of Iran's Parliamentary Economic Committee, stated that the current draft of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding does indeed have 'flaws and ambiguities,' but describing it as 'worse than the Iran nuclear deal' or as 'Iran's surrender' is inaccurate.
