I usually can't be bothered to comment on the typical pump-and-dump altcoin games. After all, there's barely any volume in altcoins right now, and exchanges need these 'wild coins' to drive retail activity and take their cut.
As for retail investors, as long as they fully understand the risks and are willing to accept the consequences, there's nothing wrong with that. Unless someone crosses the line, I don't even bother criticizing.
Now, about this $H coin—I don't hold any positions in it, and I warned everyone in the group early on not to touch it. The reason it deserves to be called out specifically is that it sets a terrible precedent:
The project team essentially "stole from themselves," dumping spot holdings to zero, and then continued to profit through CEX protection while still trading on the exchange.
If this kind of behavior is allowed to go unchecked, then none of the small altcoins held on-chain are safe anymore—they're no different from fake coins.
Why? Because on-chain, the project team can always claim to have been "hacked," dump the price to zero, and then continue trading on CEX. Any coins not listed on CEX don't even need to be acknowledged. How much does that reduce their costs and operational burden?
Don't test human nature, especially in this chaotic environment.
Today, I moved all my small altcoin holdings from on-chain to exchanges. Even if it's not Binance, Bg, Bybit, or Gate will do. I'm just worried that if I wait too long, other project teams might follow suit.
It's ridiculous that when I call out such a dangerous precedent to protect everyone's interests, a bunch of people come at me saying I'm just salty because I got rekt.
Amazing.
If this keeps happening, let's see who will still dare to speak up about risks in the future.
I strongly suggest that at least @binancezh @heyibinance @cz_binance don't tolerate this kind of malicious behavior. Otherwise, there will be endless problems down the line.
