[United States Attorneys General from Multiple States Launch Investigation into OpenAI]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on June 13, sources revealed that attorneys general from multiple U.S. states have jointly initiated an investigation into OpenAI. Several insiders stated that the artificial intelligence company received a broad subpoena this Friday, requiring the submission of various documents related to operations and user impact. These include advertising activities, user engagement and retention, consumer and health data management, services targeting minors and elderly groups, deep learning models, issues of model bias, and internal company policies, among other topics.
In a statement, an OpenAI spokesperson said: 'Artificial intelligence is an emerging and powerful technology. We are committed to ensuring that the public can safely benefit from its advancements in a compliant and prudent manner. We value the concerns raised by the state attorneys general and will actively cooperate with the relevant authorities in their work.'
This month, the company has already confidentially filed documents related to its initial public offering (IPO) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. (Sina Finance)
