The US Bureau of Labor Statistics releases May energy inflation data

According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, quarterly adjusted energy inflation in May increased by 0.039 compared to 0.038 in April; Energy commodity inflation increased by 0.067 month on month, compared to 0.056 in April; Gasoline inflation increased by 0.07 month on month, compared to 0.054 in April; Fuel oil inflation increased by 0.038 month on month, compared to 0.058 in April. The quarterly adjusted energy inflation in May increased by 0.235 year-on-year, compared to 0.179 in April; Energy commodity inflation increased by 0.406 year-on-year, gasoline inflation increased by 0.405 year-on-year, and fuel oil inflation increased by 0.589 year-on-year.
