[PGP Founder Announces Transition to Establish PGPZ, Focusing on Zcash Policy Advocacy in Washington] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on June 9, Paul Brigner, founder of the policy advocacy project PGP, tweeted that PGP (Pretty Good Policy) is transitioning into PGPZ (Pretty Good Policy for Zcash). PGPZ will focus on policy initiatives related to privacy-preserving digital cash, compliance practices, and the public interest role of Zcash. The goal of PGPZ is to ensure that Zcash has serious, organized, and credible representation in U.S. policymaking. Policymakers are currently deciding whether privacy-preserving digital cash can legally exist and serve the public interest, and PGPZ will work to ensure that Zcash is properly understood, represented, and defended in these discussions. PGPZ will operate in three key areas: focusing on policy meetings, supporting community and member resources, and the PGPZ Alliance (an action-oriented working group composed of policy professionals and active advocates).
