According to Foresight News, The Moscow Times reported that 17-year-old British boy Alexander Browder has been placed on Russia's entry ban list by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is due to a report he authored for the think tank Henry Jackson Society, which exposed Russia's use of cryptocurrency networks to evade Western sanctions. The report focused on the A7 network, which allegedly channels funds to Russia's war efforts through Kyrgyzstan's financial system. The core tool is the ruble stablecoin A7A5, jointly issued by Russia's defense bank Promsvyazbank and Moldovan fugitive banker Ilan Shor. As of early 2026, the report stated that the network's transaction volume had reached $100 billion. The UK imposed a new round of sanctions on the A7 network last month. Alexander Browder stated that being placed on the ban list shows his research has struck a nerve with Putin, and he will not back down. His father is Bill Browder, a well-known Kremlin critic and financier.
